DESCRIPTION:Embodiment, feeling into our skin. We can notice how our various parts feel in their own right. Moving from specific parts, and feeling how they can work together.\nHow is it to walk, mindfully led by your bones?..\nThe Pilates method addresses physical alignment and has the potential to offer relief from and prevent injuries. When bones align properly, muscles can work better too.\nDo you ever get repetitive niggles and aches which don’t quite make sense? Have you endured injuries or traumas which haven’t healed as you would have liked?\nIf what you’re doing is not helping, why not try another way?\nWorkshop 1 focuses on embodying the bones of the upper body.  Rather than only thinking about muscles, we will move with the bones and discover the contrast. Weaving in Pilates exercises and stretches. The aim is to offer you a sense of strength with less effort and tension. Standing tall and feeling grounded.\nWorkshop 2 (see other event item) focuses on the bones of the lower body, similarly to Workshop 1. It also includes balance games, the hips, and the lower back.\n**£35 is the cost for one workshop, £65 for both when paid for together**\nOur posture and alignment can be altered by our life experiences. This can be illustrated by how we hold ourselves, see ourselves, and interact with the world. By better knowing yourself, you can understand more deeply why your body is how it is. Better awareness opens the gate to aligning mind, body and spirit.\nTechnicalities\nMy teaching style provides a framework for the sessions, and the ideas I share have helped many clients. If you prefer to discover ways that resonate with you, there is space for that too.
