Our feet are the foundation of so much of our asana practice, but they are often neglected. We evolved walking barefoot over rugged terrain and now we walk on pavements and encase our feet in shoes.
If we can awaken our feet, stretch them and enliven them, they increase in sensitivity and stability. All of a sudden we can root down into the ground more deeply, helping us to feel strong and earthed. A strong foundation allows balance to improve and the upper body to feel light, agile and free.
