Join Zoe for an extended yin class with a focus on moving 360 degrees around the hip joint and 360 degrees around the heart space.
Yin yoga is a beautiful, meditative practice involving long-held passive postures that help to unravel the tension and stress that accumulates in the body throughout our daily lives.
As the time passes in a pose, a level of mental discomfort can build and we might want to leave the shape. In yin, we use gentle breathing to calm the mind and softly encourage ourselves to stay. We then take a mini savasana between poses to feel the release in prana (energy) and to trace sensations as they move through our body.
In this workshop we will explore postures that release tension and tightness in and around the hip joint and continue by opening up the heart space with gentle backbends, side body stretches and twists.
