This workshop will allow you to experience the Power of Inner and Outer alignment as we explore the connection of the mind, body and breath in asana work and pranayama.
The physical asana practice will leverage Yogi’s Himalayan Hatha Yoga, a strong, yet supportive form of yoga, and will follow the basic principles of this practice including bandhas, mudras and counterforce.
We will explore the alignment of the body, breath and mind connection in the postures, while re-energising and rejuvenating the body. Yogi strongly believes that it is not muscle that enables you to hold the posture, but is the mind that creates the balance and the breath gives you the ability to hold it.
Pranayama will follow the physical practice, introducing you to breath work that will align with your stronger inner self. These breathing techniques will help you to make room in your mind and remain calm and focused no matter what is happening around you.
Himalayan Hatha Yoga is one of the forms of yoga founded and taught by Yogi Ashokananda. It is based on traditional principles of yoga. A strong, yet supportive form of yoga, working through the entire body, cleansing and revitalising through special sequencing with a combination of subtle body exercise. Yogi’s teaching style manages to instil a sense of discipline in the mind and body without stress. His expertise and caring attitude towards his students provides a supportive environment where you can develop your practice at your own pace, in a way that is unique to you.
