Summer is the season of light and abundance when nature is coming into a full bloom. It is a time of joy, love and celebration. But what if we do not feel this way? Or perhaps we are feeling overwhelmed with all this fullness? As human beings we are a part of nature. How to harmonize the energy flow inside our body and outside so we can be at ease whatever we do and things can go smoothly.
We will start the evening with tuning into the Heart rhythm followed by short standing flow (gentle Yang) to open up through the upper body and particularly the heart area. The Heart meridian (energy channel) is associated with the season of summer. The heart is a source of our emotions and the space where our spirit resides. It is the organ most effected by immediate changes to the emotional climate of our body. We will stay longer in Yin/Restorative poses focusing on Heart energy lines to get rid of any blockages and to access emotions as joy, love, fright, resistance… Other related meridians will also be stimulated to regulate body temperature and to boost vitality. At the physical level the back, chest and shoulders area will be worked on. Towards the end of the workshop we will practise Cooling Pranayama (breathing technique) which cools the body&mind and induces mental and physical tranquillity. Guided Savasana with Yoga Nidra elements will help you to dive into deep final relaxation.
Healing powers of carefully selected pure essential oils will enhance the practise and add to softness, balance and harmony of the body and mind. You will leave rested, rejuvenated and ready to flow back into the natural cycle of life.
The workshop is open for everyone: from complete beginners to experienced practitioners looking for a gentle relaxing practise. Important: those who are on medication please consult with your GP or a Pharmacist if any essential oils or remedies can not be used together.
