As the days start to get longer, and the air feels damp with the arrival of spring rain, this is the time when the Kapha dosha starts to become most present. Kapha is primarily the water element but is also earth. Kapha governs structure, thus enables things to come together. If out of balance, Kapha leaves one feeling lethargic and stuck.
Just as spring needs to emerge from winter, so do we!
Join Yoga teacher/author Janey Bowyer as she takes you on a unique journey. Come along and spring clean your being, declutter your mind, and blow those winter cobwebs away.
Teacher Bio: 20 years ago I first discovered yoga following a health assessment where I was not able to stretch beyond my knees! I’ve never been naturally flexible and still have to work at it. The good news is I am living proof that anyone can improve their mind and body via yoga.
I’m now an experienced Hatha Flow and Kundalini yoga teacher. I teach my classes with a friendly and giving attitude where encouragement, patience and compassion help guide the student towards deepening their practice, regardless of their level. I’m good at accommodating both beginners and intermediate students.
I also run www.thewordsprite.com yoga website, write for Yoga Digest and teach meditation courses online via Udemy.
