Vanda Scaravelli pioneered a revolutionary approach to Yoga which is dedicated to listening to your body as it is in the present moment. Which means that we meet our bodies and ourselves anew every time we come to the mat. Using movement and attention and breath to find out, how do I really feel, right now?
The practice is detailed (it has its roots Iyengar yoga) but we use the detail to connect to subtle sensations, movements and activations in order to move with greater freedom and ease. It’s less about being proficient at yoga poses (though that may indeed happen) and more about inhabiting our bodies more fully, moving with more freedom and ease, and knowing and perhaps liking ourselves a little better.
