ONLINE Backbends Workshop with Wen Dai
This workshop is an introduction to safe backbending and heart-opening for those who wish to work toward or feel more confident in poses like ustrasana (camel pose), dhanurasana (bow pose), and urdva dhanurasana (wheel pose).
One of the most vulnerable physical poses in yoga, backbending requires trust in your own strength and confidence that your hands will find the ground behind you. We’ll practice techniques and drills for deepening and strengthening your backbends.
Open to all levels including beginners and those who are new to yoga. The workshop will include individualised feedback and ‘homework’ (take-home drills) to practice on your own afterwards. If you are unable to attend the workshop, upon request (48 hours in advance of the event), a recording of the workshop may be made available to you for up to one week after the event.
Wen is a former modern dancer who has trained for over 500 hours in Ashtanga, Rocket, and Mandala Vinyasa Yoga with The Yoga People, and in Tripsichore with Edward Clark. She has taught workshops and classes in Taipei (All Yoga), San Francisco (AstaYoga), and Valencia (The Yoga Box).
Wen’s workshops are a way to gather the technique and drills for specific yoga challenges in a way that isn’t possible in a typical class.
