ONLINE Handstand Training for All Levels Workshop with Catie Foroughi
Handstand training/exploration – for all experiences including beginners!
Each workshop is unique!
We shall prepare with wrist mobility and build up the structures and shoulder stability for handstands and maybe a few arm balances/ other inversions. These can be very fun and empowering positions. Variations are given for different experiences.
With handstands it is all about the journey. What you are doing right now is fundamental to your progression. This will be an opportunity to share where you are and what you are working on.
We shall train, explore and learn handstand exercises and techniques. This workshop shall include stretches, as having a certain mobility helps handstands a lot.
Handstand training improves posture, confidence, strength/ mobility and develops healthy lungs. Make sure you have a wall handy, 2 blocks or books, any kind of belt and something that can be used as as weights (eg. dumbbells, ankle weights, water bottles).
Catie will be giving individualised cues throughout this workshop and you are welcome to ask questions and submit areas you would like to work on such as kicking up, balance, the handstand press, different forms, falling, balance etc, backbending in a handstand.
You are also welcome send photos of your handstands one week after the workshop for follow up evaluation and tips.
We can alter our emotional, physical, mental experiences. Handstand training is one way to do this. It is a tool to create wisdom, peace, love, joy, hope. Handstand training can also create a sense of empowerment, broad vision and fullness.

Catie conducts all types of classes including one-on-one and group yoga, master classes and Yoga training intensives all over the world. Many of the Intensives she offers and co-creates with others are backbend and handstand focused.
