Beverley is a qualified hypnotherapist and yoga teacher. She is particularly interested in providing this course for those who are struggling in the pandemic, financially or otherwise, and would like to offer the course at a greatly reduced rate to help make it more accessible.
Over these four evening gatherings she will use a selection of restorative poses that are deeply soothing for the nervous system. There will be a chance to journal for those who would like to use this nourishing practice to encourage your creative self to emerge or record insights.
Each practice will finish with guided meditation to leave you feeling uplifted and calm. At the end of the course you will have a greater feel for a restorative practice you can do for yourself at home. These classes have been described as a spa for the mind, deeply relaxing and like a big hug.
Beverley’s interest in hypnotherapy stemmed from years of exploration of meditation and mindfulness with regular vipassanas to Gaia House.
She then experienced how hypnotherapy could contribute to and sustain wellness and creativity herself, and went on to train and apply this in the oncology setting and for carers as well as creatives. She was introduced to yoga in the ’90’s studying for 3 years with Edward Clarke but remained a student of yoga until last year when she completed her mindfulness and yoga teacher training through Yoga Farm Ithaca.
Beverley has provided sessions for MacMillan centres, and leads regular classes at the Groucho club and the Lansdowne club as well as online private work. Her aim is to hold space for you unwind and tune into your body, allowing the breath and movement to come together, to deepen your connection to your innate capacity for calm, clarity and creativity.
