ONLINE To Sleep Perchance to Dream with Beverley Longhurst
A Sleep Workshop
Sometimes no matter how exhausted we are it can be difficult to get the rest we need, physically or emotionally. Or it may be that the sleep you’re getting is just not the quality you need to feel energised the next day, perhaps it’s interrupted or you’re going to bed too late.
Using hatha and restorative asanas, and blissful guided meditation and relaxation, this practice will give you the opportunity to really prepare the mind and body for sleep.
It’s highly recommended that you prepare your evening to be able to go to bed after the workshop to retain the benefits for deep rest.
Beverley’s interest in hypnotherapy stemmed from years of exploration of meditation and mindfulness with regular vipassanas to Gaia House. She then experienced how hypnotherapy could contribute to and sustain wellness and creativity herself, and went on to train and apply this in the oncology setting and for carers as well as creatives.
She was introduced to yoga in the ’90’s studying for 3 years with Edward Clarke but remained a student of yoga until last year when she completed her mindfulness and yoga teacher training through Yoga Farm Ithaca.
Beverley has provided sessions for MacMillan centres, and leads regular classes at the Groucho club and the Lansdowne club as well as online private work.
Her aim is to hold space for you unwind and tune into your body, allowing the breath and movement to come together, to deepen your connection to your innate capacity for calm, clarity and creativity. They have been described as deeply nurturing, like a spa for the mind and like a big hug.
