Vanessa Rubio (Lic.Ac MBAcC) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) acupuncturist and facial acupuncturist with a special interest in women’s health. She supports clients with hormonal imbalance, menstrual issues, PMS, PMDD, PCOS, endometriosis, fertility, IVF, pre-conception care, pregnancy, post-natal support and menopause.

Vanessa also has experience in helping clients with a wide range of physical and emotional conditions such as stress, anxiety, insomnia, IBS, pain, migraines, allergies and skin concerns. Alongside acupuncture, she offers other ancillary techniques in her treatments such as gua sha, moxibustion, auricular acupuncture, electro acupuncture, ear seeds and LED light therapy. (Please note: ear seeds and facial acupuncture are not suitable during pregnancy).

Vanessa believes that the treatment starts the moment you walk into the treatment room. She provides a safe space to discuss any concerns and be heard in a non-judgmental way. Vanessa is passionate about helping clients achieve balance and harmony in their lives through acupuncture and getting to the root cause of any issues.

Vanessa has introduced two new facial cosmetic acupuncture treatments with Celluma LED light therapy to the Light Centre Marylebone - the Restore (60 mins) and the Deluxe (90 mins). Facial cosmetic acupuncture helps to lift, firm and tone the skin,  brighten the complexion, reduce acne and acne scarring, minimise pores, soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and reduce puffiness. LED light therapy is used while the facial needles are in place. LED light therapy is the application of specific wavelengths of light to obtain therapeutic benefits and improve cellular performance of the skin. Red light targets the dermal layer of the skin and is used to stimulate collagen production thus reducing fine lines and wrinkles. Blue light penetrates the epidermis and is used to combat bacterial skin conditions such as acne.

Vanessa has undertaken further training on the menopause, pregnancy, fertility and advanced cosmetic acupuncture with LED light therapy. She is a fully insured, licensed practitioner and a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) which guarantees high standards of training, safe practice and professional conduct.
