Purpose is something I did not necessarily think about until about three to four years ago. Rightly or wrongly, I now get why. After-all, in the last few years, I have found myself solely working with people on this concept called purpose. I’m excited to share my perspective on purpose with you and explore 3 tips to enable you to align more with your purpose. This is even more crucial now as most people are in various forms of transitioning – life, career, business, family scenarios etc. partly because of the global events we’re experiencing.
What is Purpose
Purpose is simply our reason for being who are are. Some may refer to it as a ‘sense of purpose’ – a connection with what we do or the reason behind what we do (our Why).
Looking back now, the reason why I never pondered whether I was living my life on purpose is because I never really felt that anything was amiss. Now, when people interview me on their talk shows, podcasts, events etc. and they bring up the subject of purpose, I find that everything I have been and done up until now, is all connected by a single thread.
That thread is an innate ability to say something that is the potential answer or solution that someone is looking for.
Somehow, I have always attracted people who think they have something to say (normally related to an issue that they are trying to resolve), and that my response could be the solution.
Most of the time this kind of interaction is so effortless. I don’t feel I’ve used much energy at all; plus I get a real buzz from it. Guess what, for most of the time, I’ve gotten paid for it too – a real bonus!
How To Recognise You Are On Purpose
Purpose is our individual blueprint
Purpose is our way of being
Purpose is us living
Purpose is us being in the flow
In times of transitioning such as what we are all experiencing as a result of Covid-19, connecting and realigning with your Why (Purpose) becomes a crucial part of the process for success. Our purpose keeps us centred and balanced with a true knowing that the external factors which may not be as favourable as we would like them to be, do not define who we are. It gives us the courage to dig deeper and evolve our purpose. Each time we do, we enrich our lives with more positive outcomes; spreading it to others too.
3 Tips To Align With Your Purpose More Deeply
1) Take one action that brings your purpose statement into being each day!
2) Recognise and involve others in your quest to become more purposeful in your life, career or business.
3) Be authentic and genuinely learn. Seek and use tools that help you become the ‘no limits’ person that you are.
Having working with nearly hundreds of people form all walks of life and across all the continents, I’m increasingly finding that while this comes quite easily to some, reconnecting or developing our purpose seem to be a source of struggle for others.
The good news is that we all have this information embedded in our DNA as part of our Akashic Records (individual soul records), which luckily, we can now tap into easily by ourselves or by someone who knows how to. This process enables us remember more clearly, who we are and what we committed to contribute to our lives and that of others to live a happier fulfilled life in all aspects (and even in times of crisis). This is what I call connecting with our blueprint.
