Applied Hypnosis Workshops : Breathing room – Hypnosis for agency and embodied change
Summer is time for expansion, energy, and expression, to step forward, embody change, and explore what feels alive and possible. As the days get longer connect outwardly while staying anchored within.
These workshops draw on the cognitive science of hypnosis to support this process. Research shows that hypnotic states enhance absorption, dissociation, and mental flexibility, the very capacities that help us move beyond old patterns, reshape limiting beliefs, and respond to life with greater ease and creativity. Together, we’ll practise gently turning attention inward, observing thoughts and emotions without becoming entangled in them, and creating space for new ways of being to emerge.
Through guided exercises and practical techniques, you’ll develop tools you can integrate into everyday life, supporting lasting and embodied change. Working in a group adds a unique dimension: a shared atmosphere that often makes the experience feel more natural, connected, and even uplifting.
Led by hypnotherapist and neuroscientist Claire Berna, these sessions combine deep relaxation with guided visualisation and experiential practice. As the mind settles, inner awareness becomes clearer, new perspectives can unfold, and change can happen with a sense of lightness and flow. Many participants leave feeling more present, more open, and more aligned with themselves.
What to bring: Comfortable clothing and a water bottle. You’re welcome to sit or lie down on a yoga mat. There will be space at the start to share intentions if you’d like to.
Please note: Hypnotherapy is not suitable for those with psychosis, schizophrenia, personality disorders, or senility. If you have epilepsy, narcolepsy, depression, asthma, a heart condition, or are pregnant, please consult your doctor before attending.
