Handstand Workshop For All Experiences
There is so much to explore with handstands:
– getting comfortable being on your hands
– strength, mobility and conditioning
– understanding and experiencing balance with physical, technical, mental and guidance on breathing preparation
– refinement of various handstand shapes
– different entries and safe / efficient exits inc. various jumps or presses
– backbends in Handstands
It doesn’t matter if you can’t get into handstand already. Depending on where your experience is now, we will start from there.
If you are a complete beginner – we all start from somewhere.
If you have experience there is so much in this wonderful arena to work on – and experienced eyes always help.
Price £40 for workshop
or £45 for workshop and one group online Sunday Handstand/mobility class as a follow up. Sunday class is usually £12.50 drop in
Catie has been teaching yoga and meditation for over 17 years. For more than thirteen years she has trained and taught the art of handbalancing. She learned to stand on two hands as an adult so understands challenges well. She finds training handstands brings people into more joyous and connected states of being. Catie has been influenced on the approach to handstand practice by studies in Iyengar yoga, training with professional hand balancers including some in cirque de soleil, contortion study, studies with gymnasts, self practise, her students, and general bodywork and movement studies.
