The Mandala of Wisdom was born during a season of deep inward listening — a time when I found myself tending the hearth of my own healing. During the global pause of 2020, I was teaching yoga from my yurt in London, offering daily practices to women across the world, and holding space for uncertainty, grief, and grace. Amid the stillness, I heard a quiet calling: to gather the threads of all I had lived and taught — not as a performance, but as a prayer. A spiral. A remembering.

The mandala became my symbol — a sacred mirror of how we return to centre through breath, ritual, devotion, and beauty. This book is a living expression of that journey: a companion for those who long to live with intention, clarity, and soul.

Sacred living is not something far away. It begins here — in the way we wake, the way we move, the way we listen. Each day offers quiet invitations to come home to ourselves.

For over three decades, I’ve walked this path as a therapist, teacher, and guide — supporting women through the spiral of healing, clarity, and inner alignment. Below, I share five sacred practices drawn from the mandala’s wisdom — ways to restore balance, reconnect to what matters, and walk through life with presence.

1. Begin With Breath

Let your first act of the day be a conscious one.
Place your hand on your heart. Breathe in slowly. Breathe out fully. Three breaths. A return. A remembering.

Try this: Ask inwardly, What do I most need to feel steady today? A word or feeling will rise. Let that be your anchor.

2. Honour Life’s Transitions

From waking to working, eating to resting — the day is full of thresholds. When we mark them with care, they become sacred.

Try this: Light a candle before you begin your work. Offer a blessing before meals. Create a small evening ritual — a warm bath, a prayer, a journal. These moments recalibrate your nervous system and awaken your intuition.

3. Connect With the Earth

The Earth holds us — but do we allow ourselves to be held?

Try this: Stand barefoot on the ground, or place your hands on a tree. Whisper a quiet thank you. Let your breath settle into the rhythm of nature. If you’re in the city, carry a stone or leaf as a reminder of your connection.

4. Let Self-Care Become Ceremony

Even the most mundane rituals can be infused with beauty. Presence is the difference.

Try this: While applying oil or massaging your face, slow down. Light a candle. Breathe. Turn your attention inward. Offer your body the love it longs for.

5. End the Day With a Blessing

Sleep is sacred. When we close the day intentionally, our body knows how to rest.

Try this: Write a gratitude journal, or one word that describes your day. Whisper a blessing:
May I be held in peace. May I rise in clarity.

These practices don’t require more time — they invite more meaning. When tended regularly, they soften the heart, steady the mind, and restore connection to the sacred.
