Qualifications and History:
Having graduated in 1994 with a Masters in Chiropractic (culminating in his principal thesis on Headache treatment), Dr Penter continued his education, acquiring an additional qualification as a Sports Physician in 1997. Dr Penter's experience expands across a variety of sports injuries, his treatment of athletes such as Springbok rugby players, Comrades Marathon runners, and Elite swimmers making him highly experienced in his field.
In 1995 Dr. Penter established a private practice specialising in headaches, going on to lecture in an academic setting. In 2001, he moved from South Africa to the U.K in order to lecture in medical diagnostics, spinal disorders, and headaches at the University of Surrey. In 2004, Dr Penter returned to full-time practice, treating Olympic Athletes and a variety of international rugby teams such as Samoa, Fiji and Tonga in preparation for the Autumn series as well as the Rugby World Cup in 2019.
With 28 years of experience in Chiropractic and 25 years as a Sports Physician, Dr. Penter is highly experienced in the effective treatment of a broad range of musculoskeletal disorders, working extensively with doctors, physiotherapists, sports physicians, orthopaedic consultants and neurosurgeons in order to provide the best care for his patients.
