Migration from Acuity to Momence

Starting from October 2025, Light Centre is switching to a new Therapy Ad hoc Booking system. We will no longer use Acuity and we will instead migrate to Momence.

Why are we switching to Momence?

We want booking rooms to be easier, quicker, and less confusing for everyone. Momence keeps everything in one place, so you’ll only need one login, and you can book or cancel slots in just a few clicks. It also is much easier to see ONLY the available rooms at your chosen time – no more having to check availability room by room!

What happens to my current Acuity subscription?

We’ll stop all Acuity ad hoc subscriptions at the end of August. You don’t need to do this yourself – we’ll handle it. We will then send you a link to purchase your new Subscription via Momence in late August 2025.

Do I need to cancel my Acuity subscription myself?

No. We’ll take care of that for you.

When do I need to sign up for Momence?

From 1st September, you can buy your new Momence Ad Hoc subscription. You’ll need to do this within the first 10 days of September to keep booking Ad hoc rooms.

We’ll send you a clear, step-by-step instructions before 1st September showing exactly how to do it.

How do I use Momence?

We have put together some simple training videos for you, showing you various things like, how to book rooms, how to cancel rooms, how to purchase Ad hoc Packs and more. See the How-to Videos here

Do I have to pay for the Momence Ad hoc subscription right away?

No, your first month is free. This means you won’t be paying for both Acuity and Momence at the same time. However, you will need to set up the new Momence subscription in early September and enter your card details so the payment is ready to be taken the following month. The Subscription will remain at £10 per month.

Can I keep booking rooms if I don’t have a Momence subscription?

No. In order to book Ad hoc rooms with Light Centre you must have either an Ad hoc Subscription or a Contracted regular slot. If you don’t have a contracted slot you’ll need a Momence subscription from September onwards in order to make new ad hoc bookings going forward.

What if I only work at one centre? Do I still need to switch

Yes. We’re moving all ad hoc bookings to Momence over the next few months, so everyone will need to switch to the Momence Ad hoc Subscription.

Why will I be using both systems in September?

For room bookings in September (in Clapham and Old Street only) you will continue to book via Acuity. However, as Ad hoc bookings can be made up to 28 days in advance, for any slots in October (in Clapham and Old Street) you will need to book using Momence. It’s just for this short crossover period.

What if I make a mistake and book in the wrong system?!

This won’t be possible. For Clapham bookings; ONLY Acuity will show availability for booking rooms in September, and will end on Sept 30th. Then, ONLY Momence will show availability for booking rooms from October onwards (at Clapham and Old Street).

How will I know which system to use for each booking?

We will make this clear on the booking page:

For bookings at Clapham:

• For September bookings – Use Acuity – BOOK HERE
• For October bookings (and beyond) – Use Momence – BOOK HERE

For bookings at Old Street (opening 22nd September):

  • you will only use Momence to book Ad hoc rooms. – BOOK HERE

For bookings at Belgravia, Marylebone and Monument the switch will happen a month later:

• For September and October bookings – Use Acuity – BOOK HERE
• For November bookings (and beyond) – Use Momence – BOOK HERE

Will my Ad Hoc Pack credits carry over from Acuity to Momence?

No, credits in Acuity will stay in Acuity and won’t move to Momence.

Please use these by the end of the allocated months:

• use by end of September for Clapham rooms
• use by the end of October for Belgravia, Marylebone and Monument rooms.

We will switch off the ability to buy Ad Hoc Packs in Acuity before the end of each period to avoid any issues. If at the end of the month if you have any remaining credits in Acuity please let us know.

Do I need a separate login for Momence?

Momence will be your one login for making Ad hoc bookings. You will no longer need a ‘website’ login to access the hidden booking page. You will instead login directly to Momence to make and manage your bookings.

Note: If you are a contracted therapist you will still have a website login to manage your Profile page on our website.

Do I still need a Website login?

Once we complete the switch to Momence fully in November:

  • If you are an Ad hoc only therapist, no you will no longer need a lightcentre.com website login.
  • If you are a Contracted therapist with a regular weekly slot, or a Partner business, you will continue to login to the lightcentre.com website only to manage your Profile Page. To book ad hoc rooms you will use Momence.

Can I use Momence on my phone?

Yes! In fact, we think the Momence App makes booking rooms very easy! You can download the Momence app or use it in your web browser. The app is available via the Apple App Store or the Google Play store. More details and guide here.

Will my past booking history from Acuity be available in Momence?

No, past Acuity bookings will stay in Acuity. Momence will only show bookings you make in Momence. If you have an actual Acuity account you can login and see all your previous bookings. (note, Acuity lets you make bookings without an actual ‘account’. So, if you haven’t set up an actual Acuity ‘account’ they you won’t see your previous bookings. This is one of the big issues with Acuity and one of the many reasons we are moving to Momence!)
